18 inches looks bigger through the seller’s pictures, but the description is accurate, even if it looks smaller when you get it. These are light, but well made, and seem to be aluminum, not plastic. For $16 Canadian, I believe that this is a great purchase. I ordered 4 for a new bathroom, and will put a dimmer switch in for ambience. The transformer looks hlipenkim, but the wire is copper inside, at the edges tinned! As practice shows, such a transformer for years copes with its task. The switch is not included, it usually goes to such lamps and does not go. The switch was temporary. When installing, I recommend removing the transformer cover and make sure which wire goes to the phase. Where the letter L is a phase, the letter N is a zero wire. The phase is the wire on which the current runs (if you know it does not need to snort, I write for those who do not understand anything at all). In the photo you can see where I have L U N. Given the cost of the lamp and the build quality, I can safely say that he is worth his money! I recommend to buy. I liked everything 🙂
